About qathet School District (SD47)
School District 47 provides public education to 3,000+ students K-12 in the qathet Regional District on the traditional territory of the Tla’amin Nation. There are six elementary schools (Grades K-7), one secondary school (Grades 8-12), an alternate school and a Distributed Learning Program to support home-learning families called Partners in Education (PIE).
The qathet Region is a unique coastal community located 140 km north-west of Vancouver and within the heart of the Sunshine Coast.
