About Schneck Medical Center
Schneck Medical Center is the only Indiana recipient of the Malcolm Baldrige National Quality Award. This award is the highest level of national recognition for performance excellence that a U.S. organization can receive. For more than 100 years, Schneck has been at the forefront of healthcare in Southern Indiana.
Schneck Medical Center was founded in 1911 as a 17-bed not-for-profit hospital. We now serve residents of Jackson, Jennings, Scott and Washington counties with a staff of more than 1,000 employees, 125 volunteers and nearly 300 physicians.
Along with emergency and surgical services, Schneck has grown to include a cancer center, a pediatrics practice and primary and urgent care facilities. In 2017, Schneck opened a new 13,000-square-foot rehab facility, where patients and providers develop individualized care plans to promote overall health and restore mobility.
Nationally recognized as a leader in patient care, Schneck Medical Center has been designated multiple times with Magnet® Recognition for Nursing Excellence. Schneck has also been named one of Indiana’s best places to work and recognized nationally as a best place to work in healthcare by The Advisory Board Company, Becker’s Hospital Review, Modern Healthcare magazine and HealthExecNews. We were ranked the No. 1 most nurse-friendly hospital in the nation by Top RN to BSN.
