Providing quality oral health and optical care for Alabama’s Medicaid population and their families.Sarrell Dental and Eye treats the dental and vision needs of Alabama’s families and Medicaid population with the idea that everyone deserves the same quality care no matter the payment plan or insurance type.Founded in 2004 in Anniston, Ala., Sarrell Dental has grown to include twelve practices located throughout the state and since 2006, Sarrell Dental also includes vision services in seven of those locations.Relentlessly dedicated to the mission: to improve the oral health of all, Sarrell takes an all-in approach: better care, timely education, greater access, innovative solutions, and transformative system change. We call this Preventistry®, and it ensures the families of Alabama are receiving the best care possible.Sarrell Dental and Eye are affiliated care delivery practices of DentaQuest. The affiliated practices are made up of over 200 providers, over 80 practices across six states, with more than 800 support staff providing care to over a quarter of a million patients annually.A more effective health care system requires a revolution in oral health care and DentaQuest’s affiliated practices are leading the way. The affiliated practices include Advantage Dental from DentaQuest, Community Dental Care of Kentucky, Community Dental Care of Texas, DentaQuest Oral Health Center, Gentech Dentist and Sarrell Dental and Eye. A revolution requires us to reach beyond the dental chair to reshape the oral health system. We address full-body health and its relationship with social and cultural determinates by expanding access to care, the affordability of care and implementing a greater focus on timely prevention of dental disease, rather than intervention.
