The founding members formed in 1992 as the Solar Division within Samsung Electronics and the company was eventually spun-out in 2001 as an independent company. S-Energy is now one of the most experienced tier-1 company and the most financially bankable PV manufacturing companies in the industry with more than 400 employees worldwide.

In 2007, S-Energy became the first publicly-traded renewable energy company in Korea pursuant to its IPO on the Korean stock exchange (KOSDAQ). The company mainly focuses on the "S-Energy" branded PV solar modules, but has worked exclusively with some of the industry's major players under their private brand. Our manufacturing facilities are highly-automated, and more than 20 years of experience has allowed the company to develop a world-class QA/QC protocol and a strong supply chain to ensure product performance, leading to our clients' success.

S-Energy operates with offices in Korea, Japan, EU, and US. Currently, our EU office is supplying to major distributors in the EU market, such as Donauer Solartechnik, Franken Solar and Albatech. In March 2011, the company established S-Energy's American branch located in Irvine, CA, a wholly-owned subsidiary. S-Energy America has been aggressively growing its presence in the North American market specializing in PV module sales, project development and project financing.
