Description
Information
The Rubin Observatory will produce the Legacy Survey of Space and Time (LSST) beginning in October, 2022. The survey will image the entire visible sky in multiple colors with its three-billion pixel digital camera (the DOE LSST Camera), probing the mysteries of Dark Matter and Dark Energy, and opening a movie-like window on objects that change or move rapidly: exploding supernovae, potentially hazardous near-Earth asteroids, and distant Kuiper Belt Objects.
