Founded in Grand Junction, Colo. in 1974, as a locally-owned, not-for-profit organization, Rocky Mountain Health Plans uniquely understands Colorado’s health care consumers. We provide access to affordable, quality health care enabling our more than 200,000 Members to live longer, healthier lives. RMHP believes receiving preventive care is key to maintaining good health, which is why it is included as a standard component in our benefit plans.

Rocky Mountain Health Plans provides innovative health plans and excellent customer service to individuals of all ages and businesses of all sizes. Our Members include employers, entrepreneurs, individuals, families, Medicare and Medicaid-eligible persons, and children who receive care under the Child Health Plan Plus program.

We are the first Western Slope employer to receive the Gold Well Workplace award from the Wellness Councils of America. We have also been rated A+ (Excellent) by Weiss Ratings. The A+ rating recognizes our organization as an outstanding insurer offering excellent financial stability for our customers, vendors, and employees. Fewer than four percent of the nation’s health insurers meet the Weiss Rating criteria for exceptional financial strength.
