Right Strategic Information

Right Strategic Information (SI) was set up as a Right to Care (RTC) subsidiary in March 2019. Right to Care's SI team uses near real-time data, analytics, technology, artificial intelligence and machine learning to rapidly improve programme performance. It manages several digital health applications and platforms at any one time to achieve this. Deploying digital health solutions across PEPFAR programmes in Africa, the SI office gives RTC the data science and informatics capacity to find HIV positive people and put them on treatment. In collaboration with RTC's innovative company, Qode Health Solutions, the SI team manages RTC's Knowledge Centre which powers 'situation rooms' across all programmes allowing healthcare teams to review key indicators, especially in priority facilities. The SI office has focused on integrating HIV data (testing, care, pharmacy and laboratory service data) with matching algorithms to reduce data duplication and better track patients. It advises programmes on the location of specific hot-spots and quickly evaluates interventions. Machine learning is also being used to predict patient outcomes and identify required interventions.The company uses data to improve healthcare programmes. Its primary objective is to facilitate:• enhanced surveillance, • analytics, • geographical information systems mapping (GIS) including spatial patterns, • modelling and relationships and • innovative business solutions for reporting, monitoring and evaluating healthcare programmes. Right SI capabilities include:• Monitoring and evaluation (M&E), • Business Solutions and innovations (BSI), • Data analytics, and • GIS and planning. RTC Strategic Information supports Right to Care as well as its partners and funders, notably, the National Department of Health (NDOH) and United States Agency for International Development (USAID).
