RC4WD Inc. is an American engineering company headquartered in Visalia, California that specializes in designing, developing and selling radio-controlled model (R/C) parts vehicles and equipment. Their products have been chosen by NASA and have appeared in several media outlets, including TV and magazines in several countries. One of their achievements includes making parts for the fastest battery-powered radio controlled car.
Through the help of an online forum community dedicated to RC monster truck enthusiasts, RCMT.net, the business continued to grow. In 2005, the business stocked nearly 800 parts from companies like Thundertech Racing, JPS, New Era Models, Imex, Defiance Racing, RC Alloy, Vertigo performance and others. In 2007, RC4WD moved into a small warehouse in San Jose, CA. In July 2010, the company licensed their first product, The Dick Cepek "Mud Country" 1.9 tire. In February 2011, Horizon Hobby started distributing RC4WD products and in March 2014, Tower Hobbies followed suit and started distributing RC4WD products as well.
