Rapid Response Revival (RRR) is a medical technology company dedicated to saving millions of lives around the world with our visionary innovation, smart people and passion to make a difference. Our goal is to close the survival gap and change what happens during the minutes that count by creating a portable, fully automated external defibrillator. We want to introduce a small, portable, affordable and readily available AED – the CellAED®. This new product is important because it fills a 'survival gap' for victims of Sudden Cardiac Arrest (SCA). Around 95% of victims die because an AED is not used within five to six minutes. The problem is that AEDs are large, expensive, and only available in selected public and private buildings, or in hospitals and emergency services vehicles. It takes time to get access to one of these AEDS, resulting in extremely low survival rates. Ambulance arrival times in many major cities average around 11-15 minutes, and in rural areas it can be hours. Six million people die every year from SCA, making it the number one killer in the world. The CellAED® has the potential to improve survival rates* from around 3-10% to somewhere between 50-80%, depending on the individual circumstances involved. The CellAED® is a total lifesaving tool, available immediately to respond to someone in cardiac arrest. *Survival data is inconsistent across regions and countries.
