Raising Cane's Chicken Fingers (Dropping Bird, LLC)

It all started when Craig Turner and Wayne Wellman entered Raising Cane’s® in Baton Rouge, Louisiana for the first time. Shortly after experiencing Cane’s ONE LOVE, it didn’t take long before discussions were made to expand the Raising Cane’s® Chicken Finger brand into Kentucky and South Carolina creating hundreds of jobs at a dozen locations. Craig and Wayne formed Dropping Bird, LLC; the Franchise Partner for Raising Cane’s currently operating in Lexington, KY since 2007 when their first Restaurant opened its doors across from the University of Kentucky. Today Dropping Bird has opened 14 Kentucky locations in the communities of Lexington, Louisville, Richmond, Nicholasville, Georgetown and Owensboro. In October of 2010, Wayne and Craig partnered with Bill Rich to broaden their vision and open locations on the East Coast. The first Restaurant opened its doors in Mt. Pleasant, South Carolina and today the beautiful state is home to 3 Dropping Bird Restaurants in the communities of Mt. Pleasant, North Charleston, and Summerville. Dropping Bird, LLC is passionate about the Raising Cane’s brand and vision, working to not only bring an enjoyable Cane’s experience to all that enter their doors, but being an active community partner in every market they serve. The Dropping Bird Active Community Involvement program began as a way to show their appreciation for the communities that support them and today is the key component of their vision. With a dozen Restaurants and many more planned, Dropping Bird is impacting their communities like never before.
