RTDNA is the preeminent membership association focused on protecting the rights of electronic journalists, promoting ethical standards in the industry, providing training and education for electronic news professionals, and promoting excellence in electronic journalism.
The association’s members are local and network-level news professionals from news directors and professional educators to those just entering the profession.
Founded as a grassroots organization in 1946, RTDNA works to protect the rights of electronic journalists throughout the country, promotes ethical standards in the industry, provides members with training and education and honors outstanding work in the profession through the Edward R. Murrow Awards.
Through its 501(c)3 nonprofit arm the RTDNF, the association provides training, seminars, scholarships and research to uphold the standards of ethical journalism and promote leadership in the newsroom.
