Queensland Magnesia (QMAG)

QMAG is one of the world's largest producers of deadburned, electrofused and calcined magnesia for the global refractory and chemical markets. QMAG also produces and markets a range of magnesite products. The major activities of the business are: Mining, pre-concentration and beneficiation of magnesite at Kunwarara, 70km north of Rockhampton in Central Queensland. Transport of beneficiated magnesite to the Parkhurst plant in Rockhampton, and to Gladstone for bulk shipment. Production of a range of high grade calcined, dead burned, and electrofused magnesia products. Marketing and distribution of a broad product range to global customers utilising a wide range of packaging, storage and transport modes.
