Queens Community House

Queens Community House provides a broad network of social services for people of all ages, classes, races and ethnicities, while supporting the viability of neighborhoods and the borough as a whole. We are a modern interpretation of the traditional settlement house: committed to identifying the emerging needs and challenges of the borough’s diverse groups and translating those challenges into programs that engage, teach, empower, and create a sense of inclusion and purpose. Founded in 1975 as Forest Hills Community House, we have expanded our reach over the years; today, we provide services to more than 20,000 children, teens, adults and older adults at 25 program sites in 11 neighborhoods throughout the borough. Each year we help thousands of Queens residents to thrive in school, make healthy life choices, succeed in educating themselves, stabilize their housing situation, and make the most of their senior years.
