About Qingdao University of Technology
Qingdao University of Technology (QUT), established in 1952, is a distinguished multi-disciplinary institution located in the vibrant city of Qingdao, Shandong Province, China. With a strong emphasis on engineering, QUT excels in various fields, including Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, and Environmental Energy, while also fostering developments in Science, Economics, Management, Literature, Law, and Art. The university comprises 13 academic colleges and departments, offering a diverse range of 60 undergraduate majors alongside 18 first-level disciplines authorized to confer master’s degrees. Notably, QUT is recognized for its robust doctoral programs, with two first-level disciplines offering doctoral degrees and two centers for post-doctoral studies.
QUT is home to 39 national and provincial key disciplines, laboratories, and engineering research centers, which include the National & Local Joint Engineering Research Center for Efficient Use of Metallurgical Slag and the National & Local Joint Engineering Center for Urban Sewage Treatment and Recycling in Qingdao. Currently, QUT serves a vibrant student body of over 30,000 ordinary students, alongside 1,840 full-time doctoral and master’s degree students.
