Protech Training Services Ltd provides lecturers, assessors, internal verifiers, support workers and non-academic workers to North Hertfordshire College and the Da Vinci Studio Schools.Working with PTS comes with many benefits, including: LocationNorth Hertfordshire College and the Da Vinci Studio School have 8 sites across Hitchin, Letchworth Garden City and Stevenage, and PTS provides workers to all sites in each of the vocational areas.Flexible workingBy working as one of our self-employed workers, you are free to decide when and where you work, enabling you to fit work around your hobbies, family and home life. Many of our workers fit their assignments around their existing jobs to earn extra money and gain experience in Further Education before embarking on a full-time career with the College.What type of work do we offer?Lecturers/TeachersThe college promotes entrepreneurial leaning and welcomes lecturers with ambitions and new ideas to change the way you deliver a course. As a lecturer, there are many areas and levels you can opt to work in, including Higher Education and Access to Higher Education, along with Level 1, 2 and 3 full and part time courses.To be eligible to teach in Further Education, you will normally be expected to either hold or be studying for a recognised teaching qualification, such as a PGCE, Cert Ed or a P.T.L.L.S. qualification. Work Based Assessors and IQAs. To become an assessor/IQA you will need work experience or knowledge of the appropriate industry settings, regulations and codes of practice. You will also need to obtain the A1 or V1 assessing award. Learning Support WorkersLearning Support Workers are often expected to have a good standard of English and Maths. There is also a range of specialist qualifications available which will enable Learning Support Workers to improve their skills and increase their chances of finding work.
