As one of leading pharmaceutical companies in the Indonesia, PT. Indofarma (Persero), Tbk. has been serving the society for almost nine decades by providing quality pharmaceutical products. The root of the pharmaceutical company acknowledge as one of pillars supporting national health system was Pabrik Obat Manggarai that was established in 1918 by the Dutch colonial administration.

In 2000, PT. Indofarma expanded downstrem into distribution and trading of pharmaceutical products and medical devices which name PT. Indofarma Global Medika. This allowed Indofarma to focus to its core business both in manufacturing and marketing of pharmaceutical products.

At present, Indofarma produces 229 items of pharmaceutical product, among them 53 are actively distributed in the market. Among the company's portofolio, 66 items are own brand products. Indofama produces generic products, over the counter products and traditional (herbal) products, and even food suplements.

To streghten its business structure, Indofarma strives to forge strategic alliances with international partners possesing needed branded products and/or technologies, both through the Holding and subsidiary company.
