Preferred Apartment Communities, Inc. (NYSE: APTS) is a Maryland corporation formed primarily to acquire and operate multifamily properties in select targeted markets throughout the United States. As a secondary strategy, we may make real estate loan investments in multifamily communities and other multifamily related assets, such as off-campus student housing communities. We may also invest a lesser portion of our assets in other income-producing property types, such as grocery-anchored shopping centers and office properties, each as determined by Preferred Apartment Advisors, LLC, our Manager, as appropriate for us.
