Reusable Fresh Fish Packaging!

PPS East has been providing returnable box, crate and plastic pallet pooling and rental systems for over 25 years to fresh fish and seafood clients throughout the UK and Europe. We receive your order of plastic reusable boxes, crates, bins or pallets, deliver the agreed volume of the packaging medium to you, collect the used units from your clients, wash them at one of our industrial wash plants, and then the process is repeated. We currently have two BRC accredited box/pallet wash plants in the Midlands and in Grimsby where we hygineically clean all our own fleet or customer owned returnable packaging.

A large proportion of the supply chain for seafood and fresh fish still use expanded polystyrene single use packaging which has to be disposed of after use. But, every responsible and environmentally conscious retailer is looking at their supply chains, and demanding improvements in best practices that will significantly reduce carbon footprints and waste. At every step within those supply chains processors, raw ingredient manufacturers, logistics providers and distributors are now considering or indeed have already made the decision to move to returnable packaging.
