Pilgrim Africa's mission is to challenge despair, love boldly, and help African people create a future of sustainable prosperity and health.
From its inception as a small organization providing simple medical and nutritional relief and psycho-social support to desperate refugees, Pilgrim has grown to be an international organization with catalytic regional and national interventions in Education and Public Health. We seek the transformation of communities as well as individuals. From 2001 to present, we've reached more than 500,000 households in Uganda through projects in Education, Public Health, Agriculture and Aid & Relief.
Founded by and for Ugandans, Pilgrim Africa today has strong African leadership throughout the organization, and seeks to encourage indigenous investment. Through partnerships and loving boldly, we seek to demonstrate respect for essential human dignity through giving ourselves in service to others regardless of economic, religious, or social standing in order to create catalytic change that revitalizes core aspects of African society.
