Founded in 1961, Pierce Associates, Inc. is one of the most prominent mechanical construction firms in the Washington metropolitan area. During our long history, our annual volume of work has often ranked within the top 50 for all mechanical firms nationwide. What makes us unique is our ability to perform the full range of mechanical construction functions within our own forces, including sheet metal, steamfitting, and plumbing work. As a result, we offer both owners and general contractors one source for comprehensive mechanical work. This advantage results in a more smoothly run project and carefully coordinated final product. In addition, we maintain a highly trained work force, entirely comprised of skilled union tradesmen, including operating engineers and Teamsters. Located in Alexandria, Virginia, we have performed mechanical construction for virtually every type of project - from basic office buildings to the most complex hospitals and semiconductor facilities, from private residences, condominiums, and hotels to the White House, from subway stations to one of the largest office complexes in the world (3.1 million square feet). In fifty-two years we have completed over four hundred unique and challenging projects, allowing us to earn the highest reputation for professionalism, quality, and reliable performance, including the 2006 WBC “Star” Award for “Excellence in the Face of Adversity” at the Smithsonian Institution National Portrait Gallery project.
