Picture Shack Entertainment is a full-service production company based in New York City, owned by George Plamondon and Betsy Schechter. Betsy and George are an Emmy nominated production team that have collectively worked on both scripted and reality programming for a variety of networks including ABC, CBS, NBC, HBO, MTV, A&E, DISCOVERY, VH1, ANIMAL PLANET and STYLE. In 2007, Betsy and George collaborated on A&E’s hit real-life drama Paranormal State, now in production on its fourth season. Following the success of that show, Betsy and George executive produced Psychic Kids: Children of the Paranormal for A&E, which debuted in June 2008 as A&E’s highest-rated summer premiere in two years, and is currently in production on its third season. Picture Shack is also in production on the second season of The Haunted, a successful new series for Animal Planet. The company is currently in post-production on a 3D episode of the program. In its scripted television efforts, Picture Shack recently completed season one of Warren the Ape, a comedy documenting the life of a down-and-out puppet for MTV. The company also produced a short film for Glamour Magazine, which stars Kristin Chenoweth. Additionally, Picture Shack has been producing the national commercial campaign for Match.com, bringing 40 commercial spots to market – with many more on the way.
