Phoenix Children’s Hospital relies on community support to provide hope, healing and the best possible care to thousands of children each year. The Phoenix Children’s Hospital Foundation is dedicated to providing the philanthropic funding for this vital care. In 1983, the Hospital officially began serving the children and families of our community. Today we are one of the ten largest children’s hospitals in the country. More importantly, we are among the most respected, with several of our clinical programs ranked as the best in the nation by U.S. News and World Report. We have transformed from a clinically-based children’s hospital to a pediatric medical center with a laser-like focus on building research infrastructure, recruiting leading physician-scientists, and forging important research collaborations with partners of note from across the country. In 2014 we launched The Chan Soon-Shiong Children’s Precision Medicine Institute to bring genomic sequencing to the forefront of pediatric medicine and uncover personalized treatments – and ultimately cures – for children diagnosed with cancer and other deadly diseases. We now offer more than 75 subspecialties, satellite centers around the state, and community outreach programs that impact hundreds of thousands of families across the state each year. As an institution we are proud of where we are today, and what is yet to come. But it’s people who have made it possible. For every program and service we’re able to offer, amid every achievement and success, there are committed donors, business and community leaders, volunteers and advocates working behind the scenes to make it happen. They have guided us to our current status and will help carry us forward.
