This is the network for the Phaedo Rédrèamt 6D FIVIREE open source development. Phaedo Rédrèamt, "Phaedo", (greek for "Cave") is a platonic metaphor for the limited consciousness presented by current day digital and analog alternative realities, 6D refers to full immersion 6D= 3D + you + environmental body feedback + Interaction. Phaedo Rédrèamt is a concept that unites the newest VR technologies into one system that allows the user to fully and actively immerse into the virtual universe for work, entertainment, sports, leisure, relaxation or altered consciousness. Currently four models are being conceptualized, a Sky-diving-sim, a Walking-sim, a Diving-Sim and a Ski-Sim. A Procrustean Philosophy Procrustes was an an hotel-owner in ancient greece with some bizarre ideas, in his hotel, the beds had only one size, when a customer was too tall, procrustes would cut of his customers feet so he would fit into the bed, when a customer was too small, Procrustes would stretch him so he would fit in the bed. Current day Virtual Reality Technology developers seem to think in a procrustean way, trying to adapt the man to his environment instead of adapting the environment to the man. Phaedo Rédrèamt is a non-profit association based in Nantes, the city of Jules Verne. We intent to reunite all the existing solutions in one key-concept respecting any way and shape the human body takes and moves, whether tall, small or handicapped.
