Petite Star has been designing best-selling nursery products for major high street retailers for over 50 years since Michael Slagel established this family business in 1966. Michael’s sons Neil and Paul have worked in the business since the 1970s and took ownership in 1991. Petite Star pushchairs have established a reputation for quality and innovation. The company offers a full service to retailers and consumers, from product design and development with nursery retailers through merchandising, import, storage, delivery, after sale support and repairs. Neil Slagel commented: “We pride ourselves on an excellent and personal service from our team of 20 at the head office in Watford which is also home to our logistics and distribution centre.” Since 2007 Petite Star has designed and produced a range of own brand products that meet the same exacting quality and design standards that they are renowned for producing for well known high street brands. The current Petite Star pushchairs range includes award-winning 3 and 4-wheel pushchairs and strollers, travel systems, highchairs and accessories. Managing director, Neil Slagel is a member of the British Standards Institute Committee that controls the UK standardisation of baby products in the UK, a member of the CEN committee, which legislates for European nursery goods and a long standing Executive Member of the Baby Products Association.
