About Penn-Mar Human Services
Penn-Mar Human Services is a nonprofit organization that supports people with disabilities in northern Maryland and southern Pennsylvania. Our mission is to transform life into living for people with disabilities or human service needs, their families, our team members, and volunteers. Penn-Mar was founded in the early 1980s by a small group of family members concerned about the future of their sons and daughters with developmental disabilities.Today, Penn-Mar serves more than 400 individuals with developmental disabilities with a range of residential, respite, educational, day learning center, community-based, and customized employment programs.Penn-Mar Human Services is reviewed and licensed annually in Maryland and Pennsylvania. We exceed the standards for quality set by both state governments.Penn-Mar exists to encourage individuals to reach their full potential and to live their dreams.
