Parker Police Officers are some of the highest-paid in the Denver metro area and state of Colorado. The top pay for patrol officers is $95,147 with the potential to make $100,000 with overtime and off-duty opportunities. First-year officers start at $74,550 after completing the Police Training Officer (PTO) program and $71,000 during PTO. The Town pays for the police academy for sponsored recruits and earns a salary of $52,000 while in the academy. Additionally, patrol officers work four 10-hour shifts and are offered a defined pension plan through the Fire and Police Pension Association of Colorado (FPPA).
The Parker Police Department is a mid-size agency (77 sworn officers) with an impressive list of special assignments available for officers. Officers are eligible for special assignments after three years as patrol officers. Lateral hires can count time worked at previous agencies to meet this minimum requirement.
