Since 1960, the Ottawa Sooners Football Club has been providing young men the opportunity to participate in one of the most successful amateur sports organizations in Canada.The Sooner reputation is built on a foundation of teamwork, dreams, and desire. Today, we are known as one of Canada’s premier Jr. football programs, consistently turning out championship teams and high-quality individuals.

The philosophy of the Sooners organization and coaching staff has always been that developing young players’ character and skills takes priority over winning championships. With this in mind, we have built a program on teamwork, pride, discipline, and self-sacrifice.

Many of our players come through the program still unsure of their futures. Through their involvement with the Ottawa Sooners, hundreds of young men have moved on to success at the CIS, NCAA, or CFL levels.

More importantly, their football experiences have built character and made them into men we are proud to call Sooners Alumni.
