Oman Global Logistics Group SAOC (OGL) has been set up to consolidate the government owned logistics companies (except the Aviation Sector). OGL has two fold mandate to develop Oman’s logistics capabilities and to foster investment opportunities in the logistics sector:OGL’s dual Mandate:1. Execute SOLS 2040 to make Oman a global logistics hub:a. Drive the implementation of SOLS 2040– Formulate a national markets development plan– Coordinate and support trade facilitation reforms– Drive implementation of next-generation technologies– Coordinate and support national human capital development efforts2. Improve performance of the Group’s companies:a. Manage the Government’s investments in the sectorb. Drive and monitor performance improvementsc. Identify and realize synergies among the companies in the GroupOGL’s vision:Top 10 Global Integrated Logistics Service Provider• Multimodal service provider through an integrated set of own and external assets and capabilities • Leading in leveraging next-generation technologies(e.g. robotics, artificial intelligence)• Enabling the development of the private logistics sector, bundling their services in its integrating offering• Successful financially and ableto attract private sector capital OGL owns 16 subsidiaries (“the Group”) involved in the logistics sector including: 3 ports, 3 free zones, 2 shipping and 2 ship management companies, 1 dry dock company, the post office, the bus company, the railway and potential additions to the list.
