The National Solidarity Programme (NSP) is one of the largest, priority programmes of the Government of Afghanistan, funded by multiple donors, primarily the World Bank.
The NSP in 2009 entered its third phase, called NSP III. In NSP III, the Afghanistan Ministry of Rural Rehabilitation and Development (MRRD) assumes responsibility for the overall management of the program at the central, provincial and district levels. In spite of having multiple donors financing NSP, the NSP follows the World Bank guidelines and regulations for procurement. The NSP will procure a huge number of new FPs for the facilitation of 11,400 CDCs under Sub-Phase A and Sub-phase B for the second round of Blok Grant also NSP will cover 100 % Afghanistan communities and villages in its third phase.
The NSP in April 2007 entered its second phase, called NSP II, In NSP II, the Afghanistan Ministry of Rural Rehabilitation and Development (MRRD).
