The Company: Nile Agro Industries Limited is the flagship company of a Uganda based Group that has interests as diverse as commercial farming to processing and manufacturing to large property development projects. Incorporated in 1999 as a small family owned business engaged in processing, refining and marketing vegetable cooking oil, the company has grown rapidly both vertically as one of the market leaders and horizontally to include manufacture of laundry bar soap and plastic durables, milling wheat and maize and trading in commodities in its portfolio. Along with its sister companies, NAIL is part of arguably one of the largest Groups in Uganda today, a $ 100 million empire with diverse activities ranging from ginning cotton and manufacturing absorbent cotton, sugar and steel to real estate development and commercial farming.
