We manage negligence and other claims against the NHS in England on behalf of our member organisations. We are an 'Arm's Length Body', operating independently of the Department of Health.Since 2013 we have also managed the Practitioner Performance Advice Service (Formerly NCAS). Practitioner Performance Advice works with local employers to address concerns about the professional practice of doctors, dentists and pharmacists.In our litigation work we:• help to resolve disputes fairly• share learning about risks and standards in the NHS• help to improve safety for patients and staffWe also advise the NHS on human rights case law and handling equal pay claims.We plan to use this page to engage with our members and with the law firms on our 'panel' - and to promote opportunities with us to potential employees.We are often on the lookout for people with insurance industry or legal backgrounds.
