It all started in 1938 when Ralph Iliff initiated his dream of running a successful fertilizer company. He was joined in this venture by his son in law, William Lipe, and together they laid the foundation for what would become Salinas Valley’s premier family owned and operated full service fertilizer application company. NH3 service Company attributes its namesake and early achievements to its strategic relationship with an anhydrous ammonia (NH3) supplier, which allowed them to be the leading distributor in the Salinas Valley. At that time, anhydrous ammonia was the latest in technology for fertilizer application, therefore making NH3 Service Company a pioneer in the fertilizer industry. Just as their precursors, NH3 Service Company continues to be at the forefront and ensures that all of their products and equipment are cutting edge.
