NewsFixed contributors are all freelancer journalists providing on the ground reporting in some of the hardest to cover parts of the world across print, video, radio and photography. The index is made available to commissioning editors at leading news organizations as well as specialist journals and magazines, enabling them to find the right person with the right skills in the right place. News organizations are shrinking world-wide, yet demand for detailed and accurate reporting is increasing. The result is an increasing reliance on freelance contributors. For commissioners however, finding freelancers in the right place, with the right skills is time consuming and it is often difficult to assess their abilities.
