Nereda

Nereda® is the new standard for wastewater treatment. It is a sustainable and cost-effective biological wastewater treatment technology that purifies water using the unique features of aerobic granular biomass. Effective wastewater treatment is vital, not only for public health, but also for avoiding pollution of water sources and the wider environment. Royal HaskoningDHV worked on the research and development of this technology over a 20-year period with our partners the Delft University of Technology, the Dutch Foundation for Applied Water Research (STOWA) and six Dutch Water Boards. Nereda® is being used internationally for the sustainable and cost-effective treatment of industrial and domestic wastewater. With tank sizes already similar to the world’s largest SBR-tanks, the technology is proven and suitable for even the largest applications.
