National Unified Procurement Medical Supplies Company (NUPCO) is a national company with a unique structure, vision and functions. NUPCO is the largest company of its kind in the Middle East responsible for the centralizing procurement, warehousing, distribution, and re-exporting of pharmaceutical, medical supplies and medical devices for the benefit of all public hospitals and healthcare facilities. NUPCO's approach and philosophy is centered around three key endeavors; effective and active collaboration, applying cutting edge technology and a state of the art facilities, and adopting an ambitious strategy for growth and expansion. NUPCO was established as part of the Saudi Arabian overall healthcare reform initiative which called for establishing a major governmental company for medical procurement with a financial capablities and flexible policy and procedure to undertake purchasing, storing, distributing, and assuming all logistic management for all medical procurement in accordance with the policies set by the Health Services Council and standards set by the Saudi Food and Drug Authority in collaboration with the best suppliers.
