The National Association of Construction Auditors (NACA) was created to enhance the control environment related to construct projects, by addressing the needs of:1. Those auditors/accountants who spend a significant amount of their efforts auditing and/or controlling construction projects; and2. Owner construction facilities management personnel who want to improve their knowledge base of contracts and process controls resulting in their construction projects being better managed and controlled; and 3. Project Managers, construction management personnel, architects, and owners representatives who want to improve their knowledge base of process controls, thereby improving the overall product delivered to their customers. Certified Construction Auditor (CCA) and Construction Control Professional (CCP) CertificationsNACA members may enhance their professional designation by applying to become a Certified Construction Auditor (CCA) and/or a Construction Control Professional (CCP) if they meet the qualifications and provisions of a point-based system based upon education, training, and experience as set by the Certified Construction Auditor (CCA) and Construction Control Professional (CCP). - The Certified Construction Auditor (CCA) certification focuses on accounting/auditing/consulting professionals whose primary experience is in the field of auditing and evaluating internal controls in the construction project environment. - The Construction Control Professional (CCP) certification focuses on project management/project account/cost engineering/architectural professionals who possess proven experience and aptitude in controlling construction costs. Simply put, the Certified Construction Auditor (CCA) and Construction Control Professional (CCP) designations set the standards in the fields of auditing construction projects and construction cost control. For a limited time, applications for the Certified Construction Auditor (CCA) and/or Construction Control Professional certifications are being accepted under the grandfathering provisions.
