NAPICU is an expanding organisation committed to developing and promoting the intensive care speciality. The Association was officially formed in 1998 although the roots of its formation lie three years previous to that. Mission The aim of the National Association of Psychiatric Intensive Care and Low Secure Units (NAPICU) is to advance the care and treatment of those people who require Psychiatric Intensive Care and low secure units in acute services. We try to achieve this through promoting and sharing good practice, providing education and training, encouraging clinicians to establish networks and by undertaking research and audit. Description The National Association of Psychiatric Intensive Care and Low Secure Units (NAPICU) is a truly multi disciplinary clinician lead organisation committed to the development of psychiatric intensive care and low secure services primarily in the UK. We are very proud to announce that we are now in our 17th year.
