My grandfather and my father were both in real estate and now my daughter and myself each have our own real estate businesses. For many years I worked in Human Resources and Accounting Management putting together comprehensive employee payroll and benefit plans. This entailed the need for effective communication and coordination with vendors, management teams and employees. Employees ultimately had to make choices that affected their daily lives and their finances. It was my duty to offer solutions to best fit their needs.When I decided to leave the corporate world, real estate seemed a perfect fit since it offers that one-on-one relationship with buyers and sellers and the rewards of helping them get through their individual objectives.There are so many others involved throughout the process; real estate agents, inspectors, contractors, city inspectors, insurance agents, mortgage lenders, lawyers, title and closing companies. It's great when everyone involved works hard to complete their portion and do it respectfully. I'm always honored when each closing is completed. It feels as though we've just performed a concert.
