MTA began life as a traditional travel agency owned by Karen and Roy Merricks and has been operating as a licenced Australian travel agency, Goldgum Pty Ltd (Licence TAG903) since 1991. Our business model is built on giving our agents and our clients 5 star service. Today, our leisure and corporate travel agency employs Australia’s leading team of Travel Experts right across the country. MTA is a profitable, financially secure company, Goldgum Pty Ltd, trading as Mobile Travel Agents, ABN 62001907188. We are100% Australian owned and operated. We are IATA accredited and a member of the Travel Compensation Fund, as well as being a member of the Australian Federation of Travel Agents (AFTA). We are a member of the Cruise Lines International Association (CLIA) and Cruiseco, a member of the invitation-only Virtuoso network (only the top 1% of travel agencies worldwide are invited) and Orient Express Bellini Club. In addition to this, we are members of the Travelscene American Express (TSAX) Corporate and Leisure Travel group, and 1 of only 8 Australian accredited Virgin Galactic Space Agents appointed by Sir Richard Branson personally in 2006.
