Carmel Sand and Gravel was founded in 1918 along the Wabash River near Mt. Carmel, IL. In 1949 we began doing Full Depth Reclamation on county roads, primarily in Southern Illinois. In the early 1970’s the company began expanding into lime and cement stabilization on various project types from coast to coast. By the mid 1990’s, soil stabilization became the mainstay of the company.EXPERIENCEToday at Mt. Carmel Stabilization Group, Soil Stabilization is All We Do. We routinely schedule and deliver over 6,000 tons per day to projects across the country just in time.
