One of those is the CQC, the Care Quality Commission, whose remit is to ensure that care homes provide a consistent level of quality and care, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. They have the powers to make ‘snap inspections’ and their findings are published on the CQC website. Excellence is therefore required at all times.
