These include Middleton Woods, opened in 2007, and Middleton Grove, that combines country house hotel living in spacious apartments with the back-up of 24-hour staff.The Waterside, the first zero carbon retirement properties in the UK, opened in late 2013, and now host over half of Middleton Hall's residents. These consist of high specification two bedroom bungalows for over 55s with the options of garages and dormer rooms, set in a newly landscaped part of the retirement village.The village provides a range of hotel services including restaurant, the Orangery housing the bar, café and shop, library, art studio, hairdressing salon and Middleton Spa – a leisure complex including a pool, spa, gym and beauty treatment rooms.The grounds include a sports area with an all-weather bowling green, croquet, pitch and putt golf course, putting green as well as a boules pitch. We now also support a variety of chickens and poultry, allotments, and a few hives of bees - the products of which are used on-site.Middleton Hall was judged Best Continuing Care Retirement Community in the UK in the 2011 Over 50s Housing Awards & Finalist Best Independent Living 2012 Pinders Health Care Awards. We've also been recognised as Best for Sporting, Social & Leisure Activities in the Care Home Awards 2019.
