In 2012, Meruelo formed its Media Group and added the cable channel, Super 22 to its growing media assets. In 2014, Meruelo Media added radio to its media portfolio with the acquisition of legendary FM radio station KDAY 93.5 in Los Angeles and then KDEY in San Bernardino-Riverside, California. That same year it completed construction of the new Meruelo Broadcast and Studios Center in mid-Wilshire, Los Angeles. In 2016, it became the production facility of choice for 20th Television’s various productions for the FOX Station Group. In 2017 it expanded its television operations with the acquisition of the full power must carry Los Angeles TV station KBEH channel 63.
