Meridian School of English has been teaching quality English courses to international students for more than 35 years. At our two coastal-city locations of Plymouth and Portsmouth, we specialise in adults only and we deliver General English, Private Tuition and Exam Preparation lessons as well as more specialised courses such as Professional Development courses for teachers. Meridian schools are accredited by the British Council and are members of English UK, the world’s leading language teaching association. Our teachers are fully qualified and experienced in delivering a wide range of courses. Beautiful historic buildings in central locations Meridian School - Plymouth is based in the Swarthmore Centre and was built in 1919 by the Quaker movement for educational purposes. Meridian School - Portsmouth is located in the prestigious Guildhall, built in 1890 in the neo-classical style, and was designed by architect, William Hill. Our small class sizes ensure that you can experience a more personalised style of teaching, offering you the opportunity to negotiate the weekly academic plan with your teacher in order to meet your individual needs. At Meridian School of English, we teach students from all over the world and we are committed to keeping our classes small.
