In today’s America diabetes has become one of the largest and fastest growing epidemics of our time. While diabetes can be a devastating diagnosis, it does not have to mean a devastating outcome. Medical Diagnostic Centers has made it their goal and mission to uncover the the hidden and sometimes silent symptoms of neuropathy. While some patients do present with symptoms it is very common for patients to be A-symptomatic (without symptoms) in the early stages of neuropathy. Unfortunately once symptoms of neuropathy do arise there is no telling just how bad the nerves have been damaged. A nerve conduction study is one of the only ways to screen for diabetic neuropathy and to monitor it’s progression. The effects that neuropathy can have on a patient are tremendous with symptoms of numbness, tingling, and pain being significant issues.
