Mazowian Gaz Distribution Company (MSG) -Mazowiecka Spółka Gazownictwa sp. z o.o. holds a function of the gas distribution system operator. The company manages over 26 thousand km of high -, medium- and low-pressure gas pipelines and points of gas connections. The area of its operations covers about 28% of the Poland’s territory. It supplies gas to customers in the Provinces of Warsaw, Łódź and Podlasie, as well as in certain parts of the Provinces of Warmia and Mazury, Lublin and Świętokrzyskie.Scope of business activityIn accordance with the requirements of the applicable Polish Energy Law, the company is responsible for•managing natural gas transmissions in the gas system,•ensuring proper quality parameters of transported gas,•ensuring security of operating the managed gas infrastructure by:omaintenance, modernization and renovations,oplanning and performing a tightness control,opermanent analysis and evaluation of a technical condition•ensuring realization and financing of building and expanding the gas distribution network,•connecting new customers,•measuring system readings,•managing the reduction and measuring devices.
