Matagorda County Hospital District

The Matagorda County Hospital District (MCHD) was established in 1965 by an act of the Texas Legislature to serve the health care needs of Matagorda County residents. The District is comprised of: ✯ Matagorda Regional Medical Center (Level IV Trauma Center).✯ Closely aligned multi-specialty medical group practice with five locations and an Urgent Care Center.✯ Academic Medical Center affiliation (hospital and medical group).✯ Stand-alone medical wellness and outpatient rehabilitation center.✯ The MRMC Foundation.✯ Multiple public health, community health, and WIC clinic locations.✯ Texas Rural Accountable Care Organization (TRACO) support hub and HQ.✯ Provider and management service agreements in support of regional critical access and community hospitals, FQHC organizations, and regional specialty clinics.✯ Services provided include but are not limited to Critical Care Services; Cardiac Care Services; Cardio-Pulmonary Services; General and Vascular Surgery; Emergency Department Services; Ambulatory Care Center; Laboratory Services; Diagnostic Testing; Radiology/Imaging; Senior Mental Health Program; Hospitalist Program; Balloon Sinuplasty; Medical/Surgical Unit; Outpatient Rehab; Public Health Clinic; WIC Clinic; Orthopedic Surgery; Anesthesiology; Women’s Center; Workforce Wellness; Service Coordination and Corporate Health Consultants; Occupational Health Services; Workers’ Compensation Services; Group Health Services; Preventative Health and Wellness Services.
