Marine Corps League of Pennsylvania

Marines understand the concept of “Mission” and the Marine Corps League of Pennsylvania has a defined Mission expressed in our Mission Statement. Everything we do, every program we offer, every Marine or member and their family we support, can be traced back to our Mission. This is our Mission:Members of the Marine Corps League join in camaraderie and fellowship for the purpose of preserving traditions, promoting the interests of the United States Marine Corps, banding together those who are now serving in the United States Marine Corps and those who have been honorably discharged from that service, effectively promote the ideals of American freedom and democracy, voluntarily aiding and rendering assistance to all Marines, FMF Corpsmen, FMF Chaplains, and former Marines, FMF Corpsmen, FMF Chaplains, and their widows and orphans; and to perpetuate the history of the United States Marine Corps and by fitting acts to observe the anniversaries of historical occasions of particular interest to Marines.An unofficial, but succinct mission statement can be extracted from the formal statement above. In essence, the Marine Corps League’s of Pennsylvania's Mission is to:Preserve Traditions (important to Marines)… Provide Fraternity (and assistance to Marines and their families)… and to Promote the Future (of the League and our Marine community).These simple phases are used by us to tie our actions, plans and programs back to our mission. It is important to always keep our Mission in mind. The League is not about any one person or thing – it is about our continuing Mission of Service to Marines.Once a Marine, Always a Marine. It is who we are.
