We are a health and wellbeing charity based in Islington. Our mission is to help people take action to change their lives for the better. Our services promote mental and physical health and wellbeing and increase social inclusion. Our Living Well Services help people manage their own health and wellbeing and maximise their independence. Our services are diverse, reflecting the communities we work with, and include our Early Parenthood Programme, FGM Programme, Friendship Network, Stroke Service and Wellbeing Service as well as other collaborative and specialist projects. Most people begin by accessing one of our services, but our experience is that people have multiple issues, all of which impact on their health and wellbeing. Our beneficiaries experience difficulties with housing, benefits, debt, domestic violence, FGM or long-term health conditions. We offer holistic interventions, working in partnership with other services to resolve issues and improve lives. Our two Nurseries offer stimulating and safe learning environments to give children the best start in life. Our aim is to provide an environment that is inviting, stimulating and safe, where children can take part in and enjoy learning experiences that are both interesting and challenging. Play is the key to learning and through play children can enjoy experimenting and developing ideas, isolating problems and learning to deal with them. We play a major role in helping families access mainstream services and assist with integration, working closely with midwives, Family Support Workers, Health Visitors, Adult and Community Learning, ESOL providers, and Stay and Play sessions.Our services support people in different ways across London. We offer direct support to individuals alongside a programme of activities and onward referrals. Our events and workshops provide information, learning and advice to individuals and groups, plus training for professionals.
