Birks is proud to have been among the first to acquire and make available diamonds mined in Canada. These beautiful diamonds are tracked by Birks from the rough crystal to the finished gem, assuring the pedigree and provenance of each. Reflecting the unsurpassed skill of the cutters who crafted them, each Canadian diamond is laser-engraved with the name “Birks”, a maple leaf and a unique Birks Diamond Certificate Number. Since 135 years, Birks has set the standard across Canada for quality diamonds providing meticulous grading.

In celebration of its 135th anniversary, Birks announced its support for the conservation of honey bees. Based on its brand identity which ties to Canadian nature in all its forms, Birks is proud to announce its support of the conservation of honey bees to ensure a quality environment and the preservation of our eco-system. The jeweller is introducing bee-themed collections in addition to raising awareness for the issue of bee extinction through various initiatives, including a partnership with the Honey Bee Research Centre at the University of Guelph, Ontario.
